Module 11 of 12 in Emergency Essentials. Four live sessions on Thursdays at 9 pm IST, 1½ hours each, recorded. Session 4 is rounds with the faculty panel.

What Will You Learn?

  • Classify jaundice as pre-hepatic, hepatic or post-hepatic
  • Give supportive care to a jaundiced patient and protect staff
  • Prioritise care in a patient with liver and kidney involvement
  • Present a jaundice case and explain the steps taken

Course Content

Sessions 1–3
Approach, stabilise and treat, and a virtual case.

  • Session 1: Pre-hepatic, hepatic or post-hepatic
  • Session 2: Supportive care, and keeping staff safe from leptospirosis
  • Session 3: Virtual case: the jaundiced dog

Quiz and assignment
Complete both before session 4 on Thursday 23 September 2027.

Session 4: Rounds
Rounds with the faculty panel: your cases and questions.
