Module 8 of 12 in Emergency Essentials. Four live sessions on Thursdays at 9 pm IST, 1½ hours each, recorded. Session 4 is rounds with the faculty panel.

What Will You Learn?

  • Tell pre-renal, renal and post-renal azotaemia apart
  • Set and adjust a fluid plan using weight and urine output
  • Recognise fluid overload and adjust the plan
  • Present a kidney case and explain the fluid plan

Course Content

Sessions 1–3
Approach, stabilise and treat, and a virtual case.

  • Session 1: Pre-renal, renal or post-renal: reading the urine
  • Session 2: Fluid plans, urine output and leptospirosis
  • Session 3: Virtual case: the dog making little urine

Quiz and assignment
Complete both before session 4 on Thursday 1 July 2027.

Session 4: Rounds
Rounds with the faculty panel: your cases and questions.
