Module 6 of 12 in Emergency Essentials. Four live sessions on Thursdays at 9 pm IST, 1½ hours each, recorded. Session 4 is rounds with the faculty panel.

What Will You Learn?

  • Decide when to decontaminate and start first treatment
  • Recognise envenomation, do a 20WBCT and give antivenom safely
  • Cool a heat stroke patient safely and recognise complications
  • Present a toxicity case and explain the first steps taken

Course Content

Sessions 1–3
Approach, stabilise and treat, and a virtual case.

  • Session 1: Poisons: when and how to decontaminate
  • Session 2: Snakebite: the 20-minute clotting test and antivenom
  • Session 3: Heat stroke: cooling safely, with a virtual case

Quiz and assignment
Complete both before session 4 on Thursday 6 May 2027.

Session 4: Rounds
Rounds with the faculty panel: your cases and questions.
